As of 5pm on July 31st: Coral Gables is now under a Tropical Storm Warning. Based on the National Hurricane Center’s 5pm advisory, we may experience Tropical Storm conditions beginning Saturday morning.

  • No tree trimming should take place during this time. There will be no additional pickups over the weekend. Leaving trash or landscape waste in the swale can become a danger during a storm and/or make it difficult for cleanup crews to respond.
  • Until further notice, parks and recreational facilities will close as of 8pm today, Friday, July 31st.
  • The Passport Office will be closed on Saturday, August 1st
  • Restaurants with outdoor dining must bring all tables, chairs, umbrellas, and signs indoors by the close of business today. Food establishments can remain open for takeout and delivery.

Please make sure to finalize your storm plans as soon as possible. We will continue monitoring the path of Hurricane Isaias. For more information on the City’s efforts, visit www.coralgables.com/hurricane.
